A Few Words from Our Founder

When people ask me what I do for a living, they often look at me puzzled when I tell them I'm the founder and CEO of a full-service transcription services company. The interesting part is they're not puzzled that I run a transcription company, but rather, they're puzzled as to what exactly transcription is. When I go about explaining the transcription process, I'm often met with two assumptions. One, that typing speakers' words sounds easy, and two, that technology has advanced enough to capture and decipher spoken words accurately. Of course, neither of these assumptions is correct, but neither assumption is necessarily why I entered the transcription industry either.

What inspired me to run my own transcription company was my innate response to de-mystify transcription to those unfamiliar with the nature of the work. This serves two ends: one, to familiarize others with a process that to many may seem old-fashioned and obscure and two, to offer an alternative to the transcription companies who make their profits by capitalizing on the "mystery" behind transcription. Unfortunately, to those unfamiliar with the process, it's easy for a transcription company to underprice or overprice their rates while paying slave labor wages and/or outsourcing transcription work overseas.
